We have all had that feeling where we just want to push ourselves a little further, right? Stormee has now felt it too! Living in rural Arkansas, options for new adventures can sometimes be limited. But that doesn't stop us! Club volleyball, here we come!
The closest volleyball clubs are a solid hour's drive away. Talk about commitment, right? We weighed out options and narrowed it down to two choices: Conway Juniors (CJV) or Arkansas Volleyball Academy (AVA). Drumroll, please... we chose Conway Juniors! Why? Simply because of the drive. Conway Juniors avoids awful traffic and is easier to get to.

Our team was made up of spunky 9 and 10-year-olds, all geared up for the 11u league. Yep, you read that right! While some might have raised an eyebrow this is not too uncommon. There are often teams that play up because there isn't another option but the thing is: it's not always about the wins. It's about the journey, the growth, the camaraderie!
Early on in the season we quickly realized that our team was like a sprout just

beginning to bloom. The wins didn't always come easy or often, but that's not what mattered. Conway Juniors had a secret sauce: they focused on the nitty-gritty, the building blocks of greatness – skills! After all, as any seasoned player will tell you, it's the basics that will make one successful.
As the season rolled on, we witnessed magic happen on the court. Some girls clicked mastering plays that left us cheering for more. And while Stormee's skills may not have improved: her personal growth... astronomical, my friends!
Sports aren't just about the physical. No ma'am! Sports are mental

games too as we learned a couple of weeks ago when we talked about Stormee's Elite Mental Game journey. Stormee learned this firsthand, navigating through the highs and lows of challenging teammates, all under the guidance of a new coach to her position. But hey, we embraced the challenge, focusing on what we could control: our attitude and our effort.
And now? Well, let's just say Stormee's gearing up for round two! Next year, she's setting her sights on the 11u regional team, and she's already hustling hard to make it happen. Who knows what adventures await? But one thing's for sure: we're ready to spike, set, and soar to new heights!
