Stormee got hit by the volleyball bug, and let me tell you, it sent this momma on a wild quest to find a spot where she could spike and serve like a pro. šāØMiraculously, God heard my plea, and just in the nick of time, we stumbled upon the last day to register for the Fall 2022 season with our local recreational volleyball league.
Picture this: skill evaluations were like waiting for a treasure map to be unveiled. Who would be our coach? Who would join Stormee in this epic volleyball adventure? We waited with bated breath and finally, the call came! We got to our first practice, and guess what color we were rocking? Light blue ā the shade of champions!š The girls, with the creativity only kids possess, declared themselves the mighty "Blue Angels."
Our squad consisted of 7 other 3rd graders who were as clueless about volleyball as we were. Our coachš¦øāāļø, a true MVP, worked magic with the girls. Let me tell you, coaching kids takes a superhero, and we hit the jackpot with ours.
This marked Stormee's inaugural journey into team sports. Sure, she'd dabbled in t-ball, but she was mostly doing the butterflyš¦dance in the outfield. As each practice rolled by, her curiosity skyrocketed, and her determination to ace the game surprised me daily.
Now, let's talk about the season kick-off ā a bit rocky, winning just a handful of sets. But here's the kicker ā these girls morphed into a powerhouse šŖ as the season unfolded. By the championship tournament, we were slaying dragonsš! Okay, maybe not dragons, but we won our first-round game and gave the second round a run for its money, winning one out of three sets.

As soon as the final whistle blew, Stormee, with the enthusiasm of a puppy on caffeine, asked the million-dollar question: "When can we play again?" Santaš , recognizing the budding volleyball prodigy, delivered a volleyball net and some other gear to keep the skills sharp until the Spring 2023 ball kicked off.
Game on! šāØ
