This summer marked Stormee's first-ever encounter with the infectious Razorbacks Volleyball bug, and I was on a mission to keep those newfound skills in top-notch shape. Hunting for opportunities across the great state of Arkansas, I stumbled upon the coolest option – the Arkansas Razorbacks' summer skills camp. Without hesitation, I enrolled Stormee in their one-day clinic for a taste of the Razorback experience.
🐗 WOOO PIG SOOIE! 🐗RAZORBACKS! 🐗
Now, Stormee had never been a true Razorback before; she hailed from Tennessee, but this camp was about to change that. With enthusiasm in the air and a contagious 'Woo Pig Sooie' spirit, we dove headfirst into the volleyball extravaganza.
The camp split into two sessions: one for Serving and Passing, and the other for Setting and Hitting. The Razorback volleyball players kicked things off by introducing themselves and proudly sharing their positions. As the drills commenced, Stormee followed each move with precision. The serving drills! Stormee, a serving novice, embraced the challenge of overhand serving with gusto.
Of course, no adventure is complete without some photo ops! Before bidding farewell, Stormee made sure to capture memories with Coach Jason, Coach Suzi, and a trio of players – Jada #2, Zoi #44, and Rosana #14.
During the three-hour ride home, Stormee couldn't contain her excitement. She regaled us with tales of the new techniques she'd learned, eagerly anticipating more practice upon our return. From the back seat, she'd insist, "Mom, we need a big bow for our serve!" – demonstrating the newfound skills with infectious enthusiasm. Hog Wild at Woo Pig Camp, indeed!
